The English transcript was made based on the 2023 translation for Switch and PC versions.
Stage 1[]
[Exelica and Crueltear are seen flying above the clouds at the break of dawn. Camera's angle changes as the clouds are seen. Gameplay interrupts]
Crueltear: Ver'mith cores have scattered. We'll destroy each one.
Crueltear: Even if one of us dies, the other must go on. No matter what.
Exelica: ...No matter what.
Crueltear: Exactly, no matter what happens. See you later.
Exelica: Right!
[Gameplay resumes.]
STAGE 1 START
[Exelica eliminates the first wave of Esbarels.]
[Exelica descends and engages both air and ground targets.]
EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING
System Voice: Emergency!, Emergency!, The target is approaching. ¿Are you ready?
[First Core Ver'mith Aragabis is deployed to stop Exelica. Exelica engages the enemy and successfully destroys it.]
[EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING appears again]
Imitate Appears[]
[Faintear Imitate appears. Gameplay interrupts.]
Faintear Imitate: Looks like it's my turn. Are you supposed to be my opponent?
Exelica: What?! You're...a Triggerheart? How?!
Faintear Imitate: Please, I don't owe you my life story. Now let's do this!!
Exelica: Eh?!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica defeats Imitate, forcing her to retreat. Gameplay interrupts]
Faintear Imitate: Gotta admit, you are not too shabby. Let's do this again sometime.
Exelica: She...No! Forget her and focus! I have to hurry!
[Gameplay resumes for a few seconds as the screen cuts to black.]
STAGE 1 CLEAR
[Player's performance, bonus points and total score are revealed.]

Stage 2[]
STAGE 2 START
[Exelica arrives, gameplay interrupts.]
Exelica: The city... is in shambles! You're not getting away with this!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica eliminates the enemy forces in the city.]
EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING
System Voice: Emergency!, Emergency!, The target is approaching. ¿Are you ready?
[Exelica is halted by a defensive wall which she takes down before engaging Ver'mith Gharatoaga, the second Core.]
[Exelica destroys Gharatoaga. Screen cuts to black.]
STAGE 2 CLEAR
[Player's performance, bonus points and total score are revealed.]
[Stage ends.]
Stage 3[]
STAGE 3 START
[Exelica arrives, gameplay interrupts.]
Exelica: The skies are normally so much bluer...
Exelica: Here they come!
Exelica: A'rstear, D'rfend, let's go!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica engages the Ver'miths in the open sky.]
EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING
System Voice: Emergency!, Emergency!, The target is approaching. ¿Are you ready?
[The first form of the third Core appears as Ver'mith Flagreat Mer. Exelica destroys it.]
[Second form Flagreat Vis appears and Exelica takes it down. The third form Flagreat Nacht appears and is destroyed by the Triggerheart.]
EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING
Imitate Appears[]
[Faintear Imitate appears again. Gameplay interrupts.]
Faintear Imitate: It's so nice to see you again. ...Just kidding.
Exelica: I don't have time for your games! Out of my way!
Faintear Imitate: What a busy schedule you have. I'm afraid I didn't make an appointment!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica defeats Imitate again.]
[Imitate retreats. Gameplay interrupts.]

[Exelica appears. Gameplay interrupts.]
Exelica: Don't get in my way! I'm too busy to bother with you!

System Voice: Emergency!, Emergency!, The target is approaching. ¿Are you ready?
[The fourth Core Ver'mith Willdiac is seen and immediately attacks Exelica.]
[Exelica defeats the fourth Core. Screen cuts to black.]
STAGE 4 CLEAR
[Player's performance, bonus points and total score are revealed.]
[Stage ends.]
Stage 5[]
STAGE 5 START
[Exelica appears. Gameplay interrupts.]
Exelica: This must be the nexus... I hope Crueltear's all right.
[Gameplay resumes.]
EMERGENCY YOUR TARGET IS APPROACHING
Imitate's Last Stand[]
[Faintear Imitate appears for the third and last time. Gameplay interrupts.]
Faintear Imitate: Welcome. You did well to make it this far.
Faintear Imitate: Not that it matters, since I'll be taking you down here.
Exelica: You won't. I'll win.
Faintear Imitate: Oh, shut UP! Once I destroy your body, I'll analyze your unit.
Exelica: Analyze it?
Faintear Imitate: Yes, your data will serve to make me even stronger.
Exelica: I swear on my honor as a Triggerheart, I won't lose to you!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica defeats Imitate for the third time.]
[Gameplay interrupts again.]
Faintear Imitate: Heh... I-It's not over yet...
[Gameplay resumes. Several Fardotts aim at the player in an imminent, sure death firing sequence. Gameplay interrupts before firing.]
Crueltear: C'rnBurn!
[Gameplay resumes. Crueltear's Supression Bomb is about to hit Imitate, but the game is interrupted before impact.]
Faintear Imitate: What...?!
[Gameplay resumes again. The Supression Bomb hits Imitate damaging her.]
[Crueltear arrives. Gameplay interrupts once again.]
Faintear Imitate: N-No, how could I lose..?
Exelica: Crueltear!
Crueltear: Give it up. You had your battle and you lost. Now we'll destroy the core. Exelica, are you all right?
Exelica: Yes, more or less.
Crueltear: That's my little sister.
Stage 5 - Normal Ending Route[]
[If the player used one or more continues during gameplay.]
[Gameplay resumes.]
[Imitate moves away as Ver'mith Ennda appears while slamming Crueltear with her left arm.]
[Gameplay interrupts.]
Crueltear: Aaahh!
Exelica: Crueltear!!
Faintear Imitate: Ahaha! How about THAT? Wait until you see what's next!
[Gameplay resumes. Ennda suddenly captures Imitate with her claws.]
[Gameplay interrupts.]
Faintear Imitate: N-no! It's not me! Stop! Haaaaahh!!
[Gameplay resumes. Ennda takes Imitate and absorbs her, effectively destroying her.]
[Gameplay interrupts.]
Ver'mith Ennda: ...It WAS a mere copy after all. It could never prevail against a real Triggerheart.
Exelica: A copy?! That means... You've captured other Triggerhearts!
Exelica: You won't get away with this!
Ver'mith Ennda: It's no great loss; I'll simply make you my next research subject.
Exelica: D'rfend!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica battles Ennda and destroys her.]
[Gameplay interrupts before the final explosion.]
Ver'mith Ennda: Aaargh!
[Ennda dies in a fiery explosion. A mortally injured Crueltear appears.]
[Crueltear positions herself right infront of Exelica. Gameplay interrupts.]
Exelica: Crueltear!
Exelica: Crueltear, just hold on!
Crueltear: We did it. ...Head back first. You always take forever.
Crueltear: Don't worry, I'll catch up with you later.
Exelica: I won't leave you!
[Gameplay resumes for a few seconds before interrupting again.]
Crueltear: This might hurt a bit. Just...try to bear it.
Crueltear: ...C'rnBurn!!
[Gameplay resumes. Crueltear Anchor-locks Exelica and prepares to throw her away through the portal.]
[Gameplay interrupts one last time before Exelica is thrown away.]
Crueltear: C'rnBurn Full Thrust!
Exelica: Crueltear!!
[Gameplay resumes. Exelica is thrown away as Crueltear is left to her apparent death.]
[Screen fades to white.]
[Stage ends.]
Epilogue[]
Epilogue...
[Exelica and her pet cat Omelette are seen.]
Omelette: Meow.
Exelica: Hm?
Exelica: Don't worry, she'll...come home soon. No matter what.
Exelica: After all...my sister is stronger than anyone.
[Fades to black. Game Over logo appears on the screen.]
[If the Switch or Steam version is played, the Game Over theme plays as the Game Over logo appears]
System Voice: Game Over.
[Fades to black. Game ends.]
[If the Dreamcast version was played, the player will be sent to the Name Entry screen to type his/her initials and the data will be saved in the Memory Card.]
[If the Switch or Steam version is played, the game will reset to the intro scene.]
