D'rfend

The Anchor Unit D'rfend (ディアフェンド Diafendo) is a Semi-Autonomous Companion Anchor Fighter Ship featured in the game Triggerheart Exelica.

This weapon is used by Exelica to fight the Ver'mith.

The anchor is fired against its target, capturing, or otherwise destroying it.

Some enemies, such as those with powerful space friction armor, cannot be captured. However, by increasing the power of the anchor, this type of armor can also be breached, or altogether destroyed.

When fired, the anchor remains attached to the ship through phase space.
Seen normally, it looks like the two are connected with a wire.
